If you have been reciting “Sri Raghavendra Stotra” also called “Sri Poorna Bodha Stotra” or even heard the stotra being recited in all Rayara Mutta’s, and in Mantralaya you definitely know who Appannacharya is. One of most the famous disciples of
Sri Raghavendra Swamy is Appannacharya.
Appannacharya was from a village called Bichale (Bhikshalaya) which is in Raichur district in Karnataka. Our beloved Gurugalu had decided to enter the brindavana on Shraavana Krishna Paksha Dwiteeya in the year 1671 A.D. The details of the day Rayaru entered brindavana is attached below.
Note: Picture taken during my visit in October 2009, a day before the Mutt was submerged in water.
During the time Rayaru had prepared to enter the brindavana, Appannacharya was not in Mantralaya. He was on the other side of the Tungabhadra river. Appannacharya had an intuition that Rayaru was entering the Brindavana, and so he started to rush back towards Mantralaya. It was raining heavily, and the river was over flowing and in full force. Appannacharya didn’t even care for the overflowing river, and kept walking into the river towards Mantralaya. While doing so, tears were rolling his eyes, and he was in deep sorrow that he couldn’t see Rayaru. At this point, he started composing the “Sri Raghavendra Stotra” or “Sri Poorna Bodha Stotra”. As Appannacarya reached the door steps of the Mutt, the final and last stone was placed on the Brindavana. Appannacharya was heart broken, and he couldn’t complete the stotra which still had seven letters to be completed. Appannacharya stopped while reciting the following
Yo bhakthya guru raghavendra charana dwandham smaran ya padeth
Stotram divyamidham sada nahi bhaved thasya asukham kinchna
Kim thwishtartha samrudhireva kamala nadha prasadhodhayath,
Keerthir dig vidhitha vibhoothirathula
That’s when Sri Raghavendra Swamy who was reciting the Hayagreeva Mantra completed the stotra by saying “sakshee hyastotra hee” from the brindavana.
Appanacharya was happy, thrilled when he heard these words from Rayaru. Tears of joy started rolling his eyes. This was the first miracle Rayaru showed from within the brindavana.
Imagine how much devoted Appannacharya was towards our Gurugalu, also imagine how karunamayi, compassionate, kind hearted our Rayaru is to have blessed his most ardent devottee, and that everyone now recites this great Mantra.
This stotra has performed miracles personally to me, and I have witnessed it happen just a few months back. I will post about all the miracles which have happened in my life. I have been reciting this stotra everyday for almost several years now, don’t even remember when I started saying it first. I also recite “Sree Raghavendraya Namaha” 108 times. I consider myself a great devotee of Rayaru, and this devotion has been instilled in me because of my Parents.

I really really would like to have the audio for these.
It would be a great service if you could sing them yourself and upload them to youtube for many many people like us.. as hearing it would be the easiest form to learn.
It is very difficult for me to compile all these in audio. Even one audio upload a week would do wonders.

13th sep 2012 i am reading the contents of this web site a around 11:30 am and read the manthrs of shri guru raghvendra swamy. Same day around 2:10 Pm in my mind i thought why i have chant this manthrs let sri guru raghavendra swamy come in to my dream and tell me to chants manthrs.

i was not aware of him and his miracles or his mercy… once i was in down under the barrel in my life.. it was a situation where any person on this earth were not able to sort my problems.. by the time my MOM told to pray Raghavendra Swamy…
i was not having much trust on him but still went through my mom advice…what can i tell you… from there on-words its just miracles…
from then i was in many-many hectic situations,,, my friend(Raghavendra swamy) always steps in right time and solves my problems…
Finally.. i love him not just because he helped me in my tough times… i love him because of his Mercy rich heart towards everyone…
i dont no i have Bhakti on him or not… but ya.. surely i have friendship and Love with that great Kamadhenu…

i had filled half the vessel of water and kept it for
boiling at 6pm and completely forgot about it and went
out. its only at 8.40pm i remembered…i was shivering in
tension, imagining what must have happened at home, images
of fire, smoke, people gathering in front of my house etc
were coming to my mind. i was so tense. and only thing i
could do in that circumstance was pray to guru raghavendra
swami. i was continously praying till i reached my home.
i had even promised that i will fast 5 thursdays in case
nothing had happened to my home.
when i reached, there was no smoke or fire or people in
front of my home…as i imagined. when i opened the door
i found out that the water had been completely gone and
the vessel had turned almost black and there was no smell
too. thank u dear guru raghavendra swami for taking
care of my home in my absence. i will be so grateful
to you.

Om sri guru raghavendraya namaha.i had a stomach problem from my childhood and heart pain.after marriage I went to mantralayam and I concelled to a porohit with a problem of not having a children…..he said that u had a problem it will paining u from a long time….I was shoked by hearing that …..because I didnt tell that to anybody evem to my husband.he gaven to me oil which was applyed to Brundavan and taken.he said that apply daily….am continouing that….now there was no pain….if I get slight that pain I will memorise sri guru raghavendra mantra it will never come again the pain….I belive that with in three months raghavendra swamy will give a child to us..

om sri raghavendraya namaha. i was trapped in such a situation that i cannot explain u. that time i did not know much about sri guru deva. i saw a serial in ETV sri raghavendra mahemalu, i came to know about the mahimas of sri guru raghavendra. then i started to chant om sri raghavendraya namaha. on the moment i started chanting a phone call came to me which showed a solution to my problem. then i started believing in sri guru deva and regularly chanted his mantra. today within a period of six months almost 99% of my problems are solved. and i believe that the remaining 1% problem will soon be solved within a few days. Having lived in Hubballi, Karnataka, for nearly 50 years, I shifted to Dombivli-Mumbai in 2008. I have been a devotee of Sri Raghavendraswamy. In Dombivli I had not visited any Raghavendra math. One night I had a dream : I was standing in front of Brindavana. Rayaru appeared in standing position by the side of the Brindavana. He was very huge. I could see only His lower half. He poured Teertha into my hand. I awoke. Next morning I inquired about Rayara matha in Dombivli. I went there and had darshana. I was so surprised to see there Swamy’s Brindavan and Swamy’s idol (moorthi) in it in a standing position. I felt that Swamy had told me in dream : “Come to Me. I am standing here.”

This happened in 2009. I was a fresh engineering graduate joined a reputed IT firm. One day I had a heated argument with my boss. At the end blamed for something I was not responsible. Feeling helpless and insulted came home contemplating of quitting. Considering my family situation, I did not have the choice. Applied leave for 3 days. Still dont know how. I booked ticket to manthralaya. Performed 3 days seva and 108 namaskara. Joined office. My super boss called me asked me to submit my passport. 4 days later, I was in Germany. Never met the boss who insulted me. This happened 8 years back. PS Never went to Manthralaya before this incident and don t know how thought of Manthralaya came to my mind at that time.

Sree Guru charanam.I a post graduate from a NIT Trichy.Swami blessed me with this degree in true sense of the term There is no way i could have got a decent rank with very minimal effort from my side.Right from performing a huge miracle of pushing my rank up to confirm my seat for this course to helping me through all the mental and academic critics i got into in the coursework.It was only swami’s infinite love and grace that I boost myself of a graduation degree from the university I wanted to graduate from since childhood.
There was a point when I was totally broke and was not able to even take a tiny step forward,Swami with all the love of thousand mothers comforted me through miraculous ways and made me what I am today as a person.I am forever indebted to our swami for showering my such an unconditional love I dont even deserve.
I have resigned my earlier job and now looking for a suitable new job.Its been almost year and a half since I graduated and as each day passes by,I depend only on gururaya for guidance and grace for whatever He holds for my future.

Rayaru has done many miracles in my life. He is my all time saviour. Now I’m pregnant of 8 months, I’m having a stressful pregnancy. Many problems in my personal life. I travelled a lot and cried a lot. Above all, I went to a close relative death, there I heard a very sudden loud noise base of drums. Now I am afraid, do all these things affects my foetus in the womb. Now my only hope is guru ragavevendrar. Daily I used to write his manthra for one page. Only he can save my child and me. I pray him all the time. Sure he will give a healthy baby. Plz pray for me. I need his blessings.

hi smitha, all the things now u r facing………..is the things which i’m facing for the past 3 yrs. the reason may vary but the condition of mind is same. i need to tell u only one thing. plz try to write “OM SRI GURU RAGAVENDRAYA NAMAGA” one page daily. have a strong belief in rayaru. this is the permanent solution for all ur problems. for immediate relief better meet a psychiatrist. take a low dose tablets. nothing wrong in that.

hi meera, i’m blessed with a boy baby. again the miracle has done by rayaru.
actually on 19th (monday) morning i went to hospital and i told doctor to do cesarean on thursday (22/10/15). but on 19th night around 9.00 PM, i got a pain and rushed to hospital. 10’o clock i told doctor that, after 12 AM tuesday starts with astami and next day is navami and it ends on thursday 12 AM. so plz do cesarean now itself. doctor agreed and 10.21 i delivered my baby.
but baby has got a severe breathe problem and taken to another peadiatric hospital and kept in ICU for 2 days. tuesday morning when i opened my eyes i couldn’t see my baby. doctors told me regarding this. i was little upset but i didn’t get scared. i just pray to our protector rayaru that “it’s ur responsibility to take care of my baby and to give back without any harm”. i kept calm. but all my family members are much worried. the miracle happened, on thursday 2.00 PM i received my baby with normal condition. that’s our rayaru. he will do everything. all we need is a strong belief and patients. OM SRI GURU RAGAVENDRAYA NAMAHA!!!

I would like to share how Raghavendra Swami graced me and my family at every step in month of June 2015.
I live in California and about 2 weeks before visiting India for my nephews thread ceremony, I had a strong feeling to donate a box of saffron to the main Mantralayam mutt.
I made my husband buy a box of saffron which he got about a week before my trip to India. After this, I ensured that my parents added my Mantralayam visit to my itinerary.
After my nephew’s Brahmapodesham, my parents and I set out to Mantralayam. We reached in the evening and appa took the Unjjal seva. During the seva, I realized I had the saffron box with me to be donated and realized the hundi mouth was very small to put the saffron box in. Soon, we met Diwan Vadiyacharayaji and he told us that we would make us directly give it to Swami Subudendru theerthagalu. He also asked us to take the darshana for the moola brindavan and be back. However I was refused the darshana as I was wearing a salwar khameez and the requirement to enter the garbha guddi was to wear a saree. I had not carried a saree to mantralayam. My parents went ahead and took the darshana and were pretty upset that I had come all the way from California and could not get the darshan. I told them that Rayaru was testing me and he wanted me to come back wearing a saree in my next visit. Soon it was time to meet Swami. We offered the saffron box to him and in return, he gave my mom and me a saree each. This was Rayaru who did not want me to return disappointed and get his darshan from up close.
Next day, I was ready for the moola brindavana darshana wearing the saree given by the mutt. I did the japa of “Om shri Raghavendraya Namah” 108 times. I got a call from my children from California. I asked them to say “Poojyaya Raghavendraya..” 3 times and as soon as I said this, my parents and I were called to the moola brindavana where we were given the Aarthi plate to do the aarti to Rayaru. He not only blessed me, but my children who were praying at that very moment in California. Unbelievable was the word from me.

i am at worst situation of my life nothing is going good in my life. me and my family have faith in rayaru , but dont know still when he will bless me from past 2 years m in trouble. regarding my marriage and job.its very much paining situation 😦

I am feeling very sad about my life when i was studying i was thinking everything will be fine in future…..I started praying Guru Raghavendra since my graduation i got a gud merit just bcoz Raghavendra swamy but after graduation i was remained as an unemployed still i never gaveup wrote PG entrance got M.tech seat in gud college everything was fine, gud going i never wanted to repeat the same unemployment problem after PG some how i managed to got into one comapany but the situation was worse over there every day it was like a hell to work in that company i experienced some insults over there……..finally i quit that company…….Initially i felt happy that i was out of that hell but later felt sitting idle at home even worse than working at hell……… already one year over i have been trying for government jobs am not getting any1……i am working hard to get a job but when we see the people who are moving ahead in their career make us to feel like we are nothing infront of them its common for all who unemployed………Now am not finding any particular way regarding my career guru ji day by day am loosing my confidence please do something give me a strength to face a problem……hope u ll get me a job very soon am looking forward for the best to happen in my life………Don’t leave me in the middle please hold me when am falling please swamy i beg u……..Pujyaya Raghavendraya sathya dharma rathayacha bajatham kalpa vrukshaya namatham kamadenave…………

It’s just rubbish, many people ask women to stop reciting and all which is wrong and bad.
Women can recite anything including Vishnusahasranama. There is rule that women should not recite. Don’t believe all those things.
Just recite and see the good things tat will follow.

I heard from someone in Mantralaya that girls/ladies should not chant “Sri Raghavendra Stotra” also called “Sri Poorna Bodha Stotra” . Is this true. I want to chant this but scared.

Absolutely false, everyone can recite everything, there is no restriction.
Women can even recite Vishnu Sahasranama. Please do not believe all these rumours which some people create.

Madam,
I am also a devotee of Rayaru.
I have loved one girl. Her name is Nandini. But every one told you both are made for each other. But in her Family one of guy did black magic to me and her, Now we are separated.
But i am in full of love with her. I went so many temples, but no help
Now i am praying with Guru Rayaru daily.
Can i get my love back.
Rayaru will help to solve this problem.
I have so much confidence in Guru Rayaru

My father was suffering from knee pain,My Father consulted doctor,and had taken medicine but it did not get cured,i prayed to sri ragavendra swamy to cure my father’s knee pain, one day sri ragavendra swamy appeared in my father’s dreams,then my father’s knee pain got cured by the grace of sri ragavendra swamy,now i am praying for my mother’s health problem ,i have a hope that sri guru ragavendra swamy will cure my mother’s health issue.SRI RAGAVENDRAYA NAMAHA

I am Mrs. Hemalatha from Bangalore. Recently I suffered a stroke and lost partial vision in my right eye. I am a lawyer and housewife. After this unfortunate incident I am in deep depression. Doctors have said that this condition cannot be cured. I have been restricted to the house for the last eight months. For a person who never had a moment to herself this punishment is too much to hear. I have surrendered to God if this is His Will. I am a fairly religious person coming from a Brahmin family, brought up in our religious traditions. But only recently I have been reading about Pooja Sri Seami Raghavendra of Mantralaya. I have never visited Mantralaya or done Hos Seva. Please help me by guiding me on the same. I plan to visit mantralaya shortly and take His blessings. Please guide me as to how I should pray to Him. What stotra should I chant every day in prayer to Him. Please pray that His miracle restores my vision. I want to lead the rest of my life in service to others especially the handicapped and blind in any way I can to the best of my ability. You are a great devotee if rayaru. Your prayers will go a long way in giving me relief. I hope to hear from you. I would’ve very happy if I could speak to you sometime if you could share your phone number.
